Question by Catherine: Why do I have bad dreams after sex?

I woke up this morning after a hard night of bad dreams. I was telling my partner about it and he observed that I often say that on mornings after we've had sex before bed. I've been thinking about this all day and it's true. I almost always have nightmares after sex.

I feel I have a healthy relationship to sex and am in a committed relationship with my boyfriend.

What's wrong with me?

Probably nothing, it should be mere coincidence, but if this persists just seek psychological assistance. You're not going crazy but it may be that there is some kind of childhood trauma causing these nightmares.
